Youth Villages programs help children, young adults navigate mental health challenges

CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) – Almost one in five kids between the ages of 3 and 17 has been diagnosed with a mental, emotional, or behavioral health condition, according to the CDC.

As the nation marks Mental Health Awareness Month, one organization is working to help more children and young adults get access to the help they need across the Carolinas.

Youth Villages serves more than 1,000 youth and families each day across North Carolina, with plans of reaching 1,500 daily. The organization’s programs deliver in-home and community-based care, helping close critical gaps in access to mental health services…
