CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A Charlottesville coffee shop will be celebrating Pride Month while serving looks and coffee with drag queens and guest baristas Jackie Of All Trades and Darling Nikki behind the bar Sunday, raising money for local non-profit Fight Like a GRRRL.
“I’ve always had this kind of idea in the back of my head,” said Jordan Kessler, owner of Tribute Coffee. “Wouldn’t it be fun to have drag queen baristas?”
Tribute Coffee is a specialty coffee shop that runs on a living wage system, paying their employees by using the Living Wage Calculator developed by MIT.
