CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Severe thunderstorms postponed, and even cancelled, some Fourth of July late afternoon and early evening events and brought down trees and power lines generally along the I-64 corridor.
As of 9 p.m., more than 3,500 combined Dominion and CVEC customers were without power in Albemarle County, and some 8,100 Dominion customers were out in the City of Charlottesville, according to the companies.
Louisa and Fluvanna counties were also hit hard with more than 1000 Dominion and CVEC customers out in Louisa County, and 2,300 CVEC customers out in Fluvanna County…
