After hearing prosecutorial evidence Monday morning, a Madison County grand jury presented 13 true bills against five individuals. It should be noted that all charged are considered innocent until proven guilty by a judge or jury of their peers.
Michael Shane Butler, 46, of Madison – Felony theft of a dog that allegedly occurred on January 3, 2026, in the county. Conservation Police Officer BM Dunn appeared before the grand jury.
