CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Still more scattered showers and storms this weekend, with temperatures lowering and turning a little less humid, by later Sunday into early next week.
Weekend Forecast
Another slow-moving cold front will approach Saturday and then move just to our south into Sunday morning. Partly to mostly cloudy Saturday with highs in the mid to some upper 80s. The afternoon and evening will feature the best time for scattered showers and storms. An isolated severe storm or two possible Saturday. The main threat localized damaging wind gusts. Any storm can produce localized heavy rain.
On Sunday mostly cloudy with a few showers in the morning. By afternoon, clouds and sun with a shower or storm still possible. Highs in the low 80s.
7 Day Forecast
A nice and dry start early next week, before it quickly turns hot. A developing heat wave will start to build through the rest of the week, with highs in the low to mid 90s and increasing humidity. This heat wave won’t be as intense as the one earlier this month. At this time, several dry days, before possible storms return by Friday or next weekend.
