Albemarle Supervisors to consider Attain on 5th issues

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Albemarle County’s Board of Supervisors will consider an application for an affordable housing tax rebate from the developer of the Attain on 5th apartment complex during its Wednesday meeting. according to the public agenda.

Bonaventure, the applicant, is planning to build 165 new multifamily units, expanding its property to 309 total units on site at Wahoo Way off 5th St., south of I-64. To qualify for the Affordable Rental Housing Incentive Program (ARHIP), the development has to include 20% of its units as affordable housing.

The applicant, Bonaventure, is seeking “an ARHIP award to assist with the construction and management of 62 affordable units (20% of the total units on the property).” It plans on making 31 of those units affordable at 60% Area Median Income (AMI), and 31 more at 80% AMI…
