CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Residents of 10th & Page, Rose Hill and other nearby neighborhoods are raising concerns over plans by the Dairy Market’s developers, Stony Point Development Group, to expand the property.
The 10th & Page Neighborhood Association will be hosting a community meeting on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Jefferson School with Stony Point President Chris Henry. The meeting comes as the development group submitted a final site plan to the city for review in mid-June, unbeknownst to the local neighborhood association, the group stated in a letter it sent to Henry on Aug. 12.
This expansion would be the third phase of the Dairy Central property and would add 400 additional units, including both a hotel and apartments. The project was first approved by the city in 2018, but new phase was put on hold indefinitely by Stony Point after a previous community meeting in July 2023…
