CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – An open letter endorsing Tom Perriello, signed by more than 200 medical professionals, is putting health care front and center in Virginia’s 5th District.
Some of those signers joined Perriello Tuesday to discuss some of the biggest challenges affecting the health care industry. Among the themes mentioned, health care affordability remained a central one.
“We have to bring premium costs down right away and get more people back on the insurance rolls because when people get pushed off of the insurance rolls, it doesn’t just hurt those families,” Perriello said. “It hurts everyone else because our premiums go up. After all, those costs of the uninsured get passed on.”…
