CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – There is a new way to donate your time and money to foster care children and families in Charlottesville. The online platform CarePortal opened Thursday, February 8. It connects agencies involved with the Department of Social Services with participating groups. The platform lets those in need put in requests for anything from groceries to a bed. Then, churches and other community groups fulfil those requests, leading to the change to start a potential relationship.
