The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) plans to replace a pipe on Route 684, Half Mile Branch Road, in Albemarle County’s Crozet area. The road will be closed from Route 1013 (Harvest Farms Lane) to Roseland Farm from Wednesday, 8 a.m. to Thursday, 3 p.m. Detour signs will guide drivers around the work zone.

The detour will include U.S. 250 (Rockfish Gap Turnpike), Greenwood Road, and Jarmans Gap Road. Local traffic can reach Roseland Farm via a private entrance. The work, near King Family Vineyards, won’t affect the business’s access.

For current road and traffic conditions, visit 511virginia.org, call 511, or use the 511 Virginia mobile app. Drivers should check conditions throughout their route as they may change.

To ask questions or report hazardous road conditions, contact VDOT’s 24-hour Customer Service Center at my.vdot.virginia.gov or call 800-FOR-ROAD (367-7623). The project is overseen by VDOT’s Culpeper District, covering nine counties including Albemarle and Culpeper.
