Famous for the University of Virginia, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, and an abundance of wineries and breweries, there is so much to see and do here and it’s a super popular weekend trip for getaways, bachelorettes, and family trips. The diversity of activities within a small-ish city surrounded by beautiful countryside were all reasons I decided to move here in 2010.
