Restaurant closure invalidates survey results
One disadvantage of the Internet is that information needs to be constantly updated. In 2022, Eat This Not compiled their list of the best sandwiches in each state. IHeart revealed the results indicated that The Crosby at Crosby’s Urban Viddles in Charlottesville was the winner for Virginia.
The restaurant’s signature sandwich consists of pulled pork and chicken with Croby’s barbeque sauce. It’s topped with cole slaw and chow chow. Unfortunately, if you have never tried it, you possibly will never will.
Crosby’s is now permanently closed. The Facebook page suggests this happened in July. Unless an updated survey is done, The Crosby will continue to be listed as the number one sandwich in Virginia.
