LGBTQ+ community members and allies are invited to take part in a celebration of the 10th anniversary of gay marriage on Sunday in Charlottesville. The first same sex marriage in Charlottesville was officiated 10 years ago on October 6 with vows exchanged between André Hakes and Catherine Gillespie just minutes after the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond made gay marriage legal in Virginia.
