Chilly Mornings and Sunny Skies

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – More great weather in store this week. A week cold front will bring a few light sprinkles overnight tonight, but won’t be a concern. The week looks great with sunny skies, but a reinforcing cold front will bring cooler temperatures Tuesday and through most of the week. With that in mind, expect chilly mornings with lows in the low and mid 40′s, and some areas that may reach as low as the 30′s. Warmer days are expected this weekend with highs in the mid to upper 70′s. While we’ll see a perfect weather and a break from the rain, not everyone is so lucky. Two weeks after Helene, another major hurricane Milton is projected to make landfall on the west coast of Florida as a CAT 3 storm. While hurricane relief efforts are still in progress, storm surge and hurricane watches are likely to be issued tonight or early Monday morning. Check back for updates.
