Virginia On-time Mail Delivery Rate Improves 3% in Last Quarter of Fiscal Year

WASHINGTON, DC (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The latest U.S. Postal Service numbers have Virginia improving to now the 8th worst mail delivery rate in the nation. The latest on-time mail delivery rate survey for the 4th quarter of the latest fiscal year has Virginia at 81.7%, which is about 3% better than the quarter before. Virginia congressional delegation has bipartisanly sought improvement in the rate, such that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has agreed to halt the new Delivering for America overhaul until January 1 until the problems can be ironed out. The target rate is 93%.
