NELSON COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A Nelson County Judge denied bond for the woman charged with killing a man in April. Officials searched for Katelynn Hipes for days after their investigation led them to believe she murdered Kevin Small.
On Wednesday, we learned a little more about what happened surrounding Small’s death as her attorney argued she should be released on bond. Small was found dead, without clothing, on his tractor on Friday, April 18, by a delivery driver, but officials believe he may have been shot inside his home the day before.
The Commonwealth’s attorney’s office said evidence shows she admitted to killing Small. Some of that evidence includes notes she wrote and speaking with family members…
