Charlottesville-based state trooper under felony indictment

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A Virginia State trooper has been indicted on one count of felony communicating a written threat, the Virginia State Police confirmed Wednesday. Pingley is based in Charlottesville, assigned to the Appomattox Division Area 18 office in the city.

According to 29 News, an Albemarle County woman came home to find a threatening two-page message on her door last November. Written on one 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper was “YOU’RE NOT SAFE ANYWHERE.” The second sheet said, “F*** AROUND AND FIND OUT.”

Her attorney, Jeff Fogel, told 29 News that the incident was caught on the woman’s doorbell camera. After watching the footage, he said, his client called Albemarle County police…
