GROTTOES, VA (Rocktown Now) — Don’t be alarmed: those individuals taking photos of homes around Grottoes are Rockingham County assessors.
After receiving multiple calls regarding strangers taking photos of properties across several neighborhoods, the Town of Grottoes posted a notice advising residents that County Assessors are currently conducting routine property reassessment procedures in the area.
These reassessments occur every four years and are used to update property records.
Updated assessments take effect in January of next year…
