M-Cubed scholars build confidence, discuss aspirations in lunch with Charlottesville leaders

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – A summer academy is helping give Black scholars in Charlottesville and Albemarle County a chance to build their academic skills and find their voices.

It all happens through M-Cubed, which is short for men, math, and mission, and is designed for Black male students in middle school.

On Wednesday afternoon, sixth grade scholars presented their own math projects, and then were joined by leaders of the community to discuss career options and professional aspirations…
