It’s still hot, with head indices in Charlottesville and Albemarle County projected in the 105-110 range today and in the vicinity of 100 on Friday.
Albemarle County is responding with an additional two days of operation at cooling centers in Crozet and Esmont.
The cooling center locations are:
- Greenwood Community Center (865 Greenwood Road, Crozet)
- Yancey Community Center (7625 Porters Road, Esmont)
