CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – As we kick off July, we will have a return of more numerous storms Tuesday afternoon and evening. First Alert Weather Day for the threat of severe storms. A level 2 out of 5 is highlighted for our area Tuesday afternoon and evening. The main threat is damaging wind gusts 60-70 mph. Some spotty large hail is possible. While not zero, but very low, an isolated tornado. In addition, some locally heavy rain could trigger flooding. The time frame for storms between 2 PM – 10 PM.
