CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good morning. We have declared today a First Alert Weather Day. A slow moving cold front will bring showers and storms to the region this afternoon into tonight. Any storm that does develop can cause heavy rain, gusty wind and small hail. A Flood Watch is in effect for a portion of our region until this evening. A few lingering showers and storms will be possible Wednesday. Humidity levels are expected to lower Wednesday into the late week.
