CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Neighbors are speaking out about the missed legal deadline that has left Charlottesville without a zoning ordinance.
After the City’s outside counsel, Gentry Locke, missed a deadline in an ongoing lawsuit, Judge Claude Worrell voided the new ordinance, which aimed at increasing affordable housing. The lack of guidelines has now thrown some development projects into uncertainty, with no clear path forward.
