Charlottesville organization reacts after holiday shooting injured five

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – As the Charlottesville Police Department continues to investigate the Fourth of July shooting that involved five victims being in the crossfire, advocates are speaking up.

One group says the work to prevent violence doesn’t end when the gunfire stops.

Bryan Page with the Central Virginia Violence Interrupters, formerly known as BUCK Squad, says these shootings are starting to feel normalized and that’s not ta path he wants to see Charlottesville go down…
