CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – With a flood watch in effect starting at 2 P.M., Charlottesville Parks & Rec has cancelled its Wednesday Farmers in the Park for July 9. A city release says with heavy thunderstorms in the forecast, “the safety of our vendors, customers, and staff is our top priority”.
Those who’ve purchased a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share are urged to contact their provider directly for alternative pick-up instructions. Farmers in the Park features more than 20 local vendors featuring seasonal produce, local meats, baked goods, and global flavors from 3-to-7 P.M. at Pen Park.
