VSP seeking information on road rage shooting in Waynesboro

AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Virginia State Police are asking for information from the public regarding a road rage shooting that occurred at approximately 5:03 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, on Interstate 64 eastbound in the City of Waynesboro.

VSP say two vehicles were traveling eastbound on Interstate 64 near Exit 96 when a black Genesis sedan cut off a white truck, possibly a Toyota, with large tires. The two vehicles then stopped in the travel lane and the driver of the truck fired at the other vehicle. The driver of the black sedan then returned fire. The truck then drove away from the scene, utilizing Exit 96.

The driver of the truck is described as a white male, early to mid-30s, with light brown or reddish hair and a distinct jaw line…
