CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) After a standoff of over two hours, Charlottesville Police arrested a burglary suspect on Friday afternoon, the CPD announced.
Police were initially called to respond to a burglary in progress on the 1500 block of Short 18th Street at approximately 10:51 a.m. A victim had exited a residence there but the suspect, Marco Antonio Berberena-Perez, a 35-year-old city resident, was still inside.
