CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation announced $300,000 in grant funding as a part of the foundation’s Solidarity Program.
Sixteen organizations were selected to receive funding from the Solidarity Program, which works to support racial equity and movement building in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas.
“The groups that have been awarded funds have recognized an injustice in our community, and are working to correct those injustices,” said Justin Reid, senior program manager with the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. “We wanted to have these resources be used to really give people the time necessary to think differently about ways to tackle the challenges here in our community.”…
