Veterinarian warns pet owners of heat risks in hot temperatures

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – As the summer heat continues, one veterinarian is highlighting pet health.

He says many signs of heat exhaustion or stroke in dogs are obvious but many miss it.

“Sadly, most of the time, the dogs are telling us very clear and loud, but people just weren’t listening,” Monticello Animal Hospital Veterinarian Doctor John Anderson said. “They just weren’t getting that.”…
