Albemarle Supervisors to vote on making Free Bridge Lane permanent

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – After years of neighbor advocacy, last October, Albemarle Supervisors closed the gate to cars on Free Bridge Lane, a cut-through road near Darden Towe Park.

Then began a one-year trial, during which Albemarle County said tens of thousands of people used the promenade, whether for biking, running or walking.

Now, the board will decide on whether to keep the road closed to drivers permanently…
