UVA uses AI to speed up brain cancer treatment

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -UVA Health researchers are using artificial intelligence to help doctors treat glioblastoma, the deadliest form of brain cancer, faster and with more confidence

The new AI system analyzes brain scans to tell whether a tumor is growing or if changes are just a side effect of treatment.

Right now, that distinction can take months to figure out and often requires invasive procedures…
