CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Charlottesville City Market is participating in America’s Farmers Market Celebration, a competition between farmers markets across the nation.
“Charlottesville City Market is probably the best market in the state of Virginia, and everybody should go online and also vote so we can keep that status,” said Jack Dixon, owner of Riverbank Farms and vendor at the City Market.
The competition, held by American Farmland Trust, named Charlottesville City Market the number one market in Virginia last year. This year, with votes from vendors and customers, the market could win a portion of a $15,000 prize and national recognition…
