CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The Soul of Cville is returning to Ix Art Park with a week-long celebration leading up to the main event on Saturday, August 16. It’s a chance to honor Black excellence with live music, fashion shows, a Black artisan market, and delicious food from Black-owned restaurants.
The event’s co-founder says they wanted to create more time for the community to learn about Black culture.
“Some factions of the community that are historically and sometimes strategically, underground,” Soul of Cville CEO Khalilah Jones said. “We want to be able to show value. So, you know, we have the opportunity to support over 50 businesses.”…
