Seasonable to Hot August Weekend – Largely Dry

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – This August weekend will feature continued humid condtions and while temperatures are seasonable Saturday, it will turn hotter Sunday. A light east to northeast wind may result in some cloudiness and fog to start Saturday morning, especially east of the the Blue Ridge Mountains, before mixing out for more sunshine. While largely dry, a stray shower/storm is possible. On Sunday, high temperatures will top out in the low 90s for most locations and combined with the humidty, real feel temperatures heat index – in the upper 90s to around 100. Next week, the return of some hit and miss showers and storms. A stronger cold front toward the end of the week, will usher in cooler temperatures.
