HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – Following the recent boil water advisories for Staunton and Augusta County, health officials are reminding people of the importance of taking advisories seriously.
Rachel Dumene with Central Shenandoah Health District emphasized the importance of following boil water advisory rules and regulations, given the potential health risks associated with ingesting bacteria.
“It could be bacteria or it could be any other biologically harmful organism, which can also be called pathogens, so bacteria, viruses, or other microorganisms. And these are things we don’t want to be ingesting because they can make us sick,” she said…
