Fulton County crash leaves one dead

FULTON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Virginia man was killed in an early morning Sunday crash in Fulton County, according to State Police.

State Police said 69-year-old John Nance, of Staunton, Va., lost control of his 2012 GMC Sierra he was driving when he arrived at Flickerville Road’s (SR 643) intersection with Fischer Road in Brush Creek Township around 3:30 a.m.

Nance hit a chevron sign when he didn’t make a right curve, and he traveled down an embankment, hitting multiple small trees before he hit head-on with a large oak tree, State Police said. Nance then spun and sheared off a small pine tree.
