11-story student housing may be coming to Charlottesville

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Discussion of an 11-story budling, that will serve as University of Virginia student housing, is being made. A Texas-based company is looking to put this building in place of a former “Cupcakery.”

The building is said to be between the Standard Apartments and the Drewary Brown Memorial Bridge. With such a large change, neighbors are unsure about this new development.
