CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Charlottesville’s Strategic Outcome Area Report for Economic Prosperity shows that more than half of households in the city are struggling to afford the cost of living, and city-wide initiatives are working to address those struggles.
“I think we need to get to a place where we’re thinking and planning much more systemically if we’re really going to change the wealth gap,” said Charlottesville City Council member Michael Payne at Monday’s meeting, August 18.
