CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – A case of measles passed through the Washington Dulles International Airport on Tuesday, August 12.
“Outbreaks of measles do often occur when somebody travels abroad and returns to the US while sick,” said Emily Rich, Vaccine Preventable Disease Epidemiologist with the Virginia Department of Health.
The traveler is said to have been in the airport between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at various locations including the main terminal and in Concourse B. The Virginia Department of Health is concerned for the people that could have been affected while this traveler was in the airport…
