CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Kalye 80s Bakeshop, a newly opened bakery, is bringing fresh, Filipino bread to the city.
The bakery is a family-run effort between two couples who met in Charlottesville and found a passion to share the taste of their baked goods with the city.
“We were longing for the Filipino bread since we’ve been away from the Philippines, and we also see a lot of Filipinos are here now in Charlottesville,” said Mark Cabase, an owner of Kalye 80s Bakeshop. “We work so hard to give them the Filipino taste that they missed.”…
