Augusta Health announces potential changes amid insurance dispute with Cigna

FISHERSVILLE, Va. (WHSV) – Augusta Health announced it may stop offering Cigna as an in-network insurance option for patients.

According to Augusta Health, Cigna and Augusta Health renew their contract annually, allowing for customers to pay for health care through Cigna insurance. However, the health insurance has a required “reimbursement rate” that is the focal point of dispute between the two companies.
