ELKTON, Va. (WHSV) – An Elkton family is in a desperate race against the clock, and they’re turning to the community for help.
Gregory Hansbrough’s medical journey began back in 2021 when doctors discovered that he had non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. Since then, he has been fighting for his life, and he’s searching for a living liver donor to help.
“It’s hard when you look in the mirror and you see the man that you used to be, and you ain’t that man no more,” Hansbrough said. “I enjoy work, I enjoy hunting, fishing, going places with my family and doing things, and that’s just who I am. I ain’t a quitter.”
The fight has not been easy for Hansbrough, but he said he keeps pushing for his family…
