CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good morning. It’s a chilly start to the work and school day. We’ll see wall to wall sunshine today, with slightly cooler than normal temperatures. It’s still not a good idea to do any outdoor burning. Wind speeds are expected to be ten to fifteen miles per hour, with higher gusts. A weak cold front will move through Friday, reinforcing even cooler conditions this weekend. Tropical Storm Melissa is about 300 miles south of Jamaica, it is expected to become a major hurricane this weekend. Right now, its current track will keep it away from the United States.
