On October 6, 2025, Commonwealth Senior Living held its ninth annual Commonwealth Cares Golf Tournament in Charlottesville, Virginia. This year, the event was renamed the Ashley Williams Memorial Commonwealth Cares Golf Tournament. The change honors Ashley Williams, the company’s former Director of Administrative Services, who died shortly before the tournament. The event gathered associates, sponsors, and professional partners to support the Commonwealth Cares foundation. This 501(c)(3) organization provides financial assistance to associates and their families during difficult times.
Ashley Williams worked at Commonwealth Senior Living for 17 years. Earl Parker, President and CEO, described her as an important member of the company who helped with events and supported colleagues. Richard Brewer, the company’s founder, noted her commitment to the organization and said the company will continue to support her children.
