CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Cloudy and cool with some needed rain chances this week. While mostly cloudy and cool Tuesday, only a few showers expected. Breezy northeast winds during the day could top over 20 mph. The better chance of rain is across Southside and Tidewater on Tuesday. This storm system will slide off the coast late Tuesday. Another storm will follow for later Wednesday into Thursday. This will present our best opportunity for more widespread and benefical rain. A this time, rain amounts of one inch or a little more expected. We certainly need it, as moderate to severe drought continues across the region.
