ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Charlottesville man is facing several charges after police say he drank while driving, was involved in a hit-and-run, lied to officers and then resisted arrest, resulting in his being tased.
At 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, Albemarle County dispatchers received a 911 call about a possible hit-and-run. According to the caller, an involved driver fled the scene of a crash, moving toward the 400 block of Woodbrook Drive.
An officer with the Albemarle County Police Department responded to the area and found the hit-and-run suspect, a 36-year-old Charlottesville man, in the parking lot of a nearby business…
