CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – After an aggressive black cat was discovered to have rabies on the Rivanna Trail last week, a Charlottesville veterinarian is advising pet owners on how to protect their animals from potential exposures.
“Likely in that area where that cat was found, there are going to be other feral cats,” explained Garret Wood, a veterinarian and owner of Old Dominion Animal Hospital. “ So, unfortunately, we don’t know at this point if there’s going to be other cases.”
