After Florida State beat Virginia Tech, 34-14, on Saturday night, the loss dropped the Hokies to 3-7 and eliminated them from a potential third straight bowl. Of course, anyone paying attention would have known that after the 0-3 start the Tech had and firing Brent Pry after Week 3, it was going down that road anyway.
Meanwhile, in Charlottesville, Virginia is having a season to remember for their suffering fanbase. The Cavaliers are 9-2 overall and 6-1 in the ACC after blasting Duke on the road on Saturday afternoon. They are in a four-way tie with Georgia Tech, SMU, and Pittsburgh in the loss column in the conference. There is still a lot of football to be played over the next two weeks.
