HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – A gang member tied to Sureno 13 was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Harrisonburg on Wednesday for selling methamphetamine and possessing firearms.
The man, Hector Espinosa, 37, of Stephens City, was sentenced to 240 months, or 20 years, in federal prison, according to a release from the office of Acting U.S. Attorney Robert N. Tracci for the Western District of Virginia. Espinosa was convicted of conspiracy to distribute meth, distribution of meth and possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon after a jury trial in November 2024.
“This office will week maximum accountability against transnational criminal organizations who prey on our citizens and communities,” Tracci said in a statement Thursday. “I am grateful for the outstanding work of our federal partners at the Drug Enforcement Administration and the ATF on this case.”…
