Waynesboro: SVAC experiences devastating flood, impact will be felt for months

The Shenandoah Valley Art Center in Waynesboro is looking for the public to step in and help after a devastating flood just before Thanksgiving.

A gofundme has been set up for the center after a plumbing failure sent water pouring through the main gallery at 416 W. Main St.

“By a true miracle, no artwork was damaged, and for that we are deeply grateful,” said Piper Groves, SVAC executive director. “Unfortunately, our floors and building structure were not as lucky. The repairs will be extensive, costly and time-consuming.”…
